Here’s an email I got from a male performer currently working on LiveJasmin:
“Hi Luke my name is Oscar and I’m currently a male webcam model I work for LiveJasmin, and I am also a full college student. I read you Ebook and it has helped me a lot but I still feel insecure about a lot of things for an instance every time I debate on whether I should get on with a shirt on or not, wear underwear or shorts, whether I should be in bed or somewhere else. It’s kind of frustrating for me and it has deprive me from working every day, I usually take days before I get on cam again due to my insecurities. So I’d love for you to give me any advice to help me overcome my problems and enjoy working on cam for once. Thank you so much.”
Oscar’s concerns are similar to many new webcam models, male and female. Here’s what I think:
“I debate on whether I should get on with a shirt on or not, wear underwear or shorts, whether I should be in bed or somewhere else.”
What you wear isn’t as important as HOW you CONNECT with your viewers. It’s ok to show up on webcam wearing shorts and t-shirt, and even if it’s not the most enticing outfit, you can still make it work. Ask your visitors if they’d like you to take your shirt off. You can tease them by showing a bit of skin, or you can give them a strip show in free chat. Just don’t give them TOO much for free (read How to Give and Take).
Different visitors will like you for different reasons. It’s best to keep your options open so that you’re getting the most potential buyers (paid private time). I suggest that you mix things up. Sometimes show up on webcam dressed your best, other times show up with only a towel.
Variety is exciting and keeps members coming back. This applies to WHERE you’re camming as well. The bed is most convenient, but you can set up your webcam anywhere you want. For example, a POV on your living room sofa would do the trick. There’s a great blog post about how one of my readers had her regulars watching her perform a webcam show outside! Now that’s something different that clients will appreciate!
“I usually take days before I get on cam”
Nothing wrong with taking breaks. The good thing about webcam modeling is you’re free to take a day off whenever you want. It’s wise to set a schedule, but the last thing you want is it to burnout (read my Avoiding Burnout post)
“I’d love for you to give me any advice to help me overcome my [insecurities] and enjoy working on cam for once”
Confidence is one of those elusive things that can take months, even years, to develop. If you don’t enjoy working on cam, or if you’re uncomfortable with the idea, it’s gonna be hard to make significant earnings.
That said, there is a simple technique that you can use to INSTANTLY BOOST CONFIDENCE. From experience, I can tell you that THIS TECHNIQUE WORKS, and it’s none of this new-age psycho babble either.
The technique is simple, but not necessarily easy, and deserves its own blog post.
Watch for tomorrow’s post where I’ll be taking you through a step-by-step confidence building technique that will have you conveying a more sexually confident version of yourself. Don’t miss it!
Thanks to Oscar for taking the time to email me. All reader feedback is welcome, both good and bad. Send your questions and comments to luke@becomewebcamperformer.com

Last week, I got an email from LiveJasmin performer Natalia Nova. Natalia is a new webcam performer in the BBW (Big Beautiful Woman) niche. I realized that I have never mentioned the BBW niche in my blog, even though they are high in demand, or as Natalia put it, “The niche for “fat chicks” is certainly alive and well!”
In this Q&A, she talks about her experience as a new BBW performer and shares some tips for beginner models.
How did you first hear about webcam modeling?
I saw interviews with cam models on a daytime talk show several years ago. I thought the idea was fantastic but a bit of a pipe dream. At the time I was working full time at a very high stress job and my attitude at the time was “Why come home from work just to work some more?” I didn’t have any idea how to turn this into my career!
Why did you decide to become a cam model?
The financial aspect was alluring but upon further research that wasn’t all. I am very comfortable with my body and knew that being naked wouldn’t be an issue. I absolutely loved the idea of setting my own schedule and not having to work long hours if I didn’t want to.
Which cam site(s) have you worked on?
For the time being, I am exclusively on LiveJasmin.
How long have you been camming?
Only a week and half but it has been amazing!
How has your experience been so far as a new BBW performer?
What an experience! BBW cam girls definitely fill a niche. Also it is a bit of a confidence booster!
What’s the most difficult aspect of adult camming?
I think as a BBW model, we need to try a little harder than slender girls. We need to give our shows more “oomph”. And of course you will get “haters” – prepare yourself for that and let it roll off your shoulders.
What do you like most about your online work?
Looking gorgeous everyday – the makeup, the hair, the cute underwear and, I won’t lie, the money. You also meet people from all over the world doing this kind of work!
What advice would you give to a beginning webcam model?
Don’t give up in your couple of months! A job like this requires diligence and dedication! You are not going to become rich in a week. Save some of your earnings. Give it your all but do not do anything that you are not comfortable doing no matter the pressure. Treat it like a real job. Be present. Believe in yourself. The amount of energy you put into it will come back to you tenfold! Above all, have fun with it!
Special thanks to Natalia for helping me out with today’s post. Interested members can chat with Natalia Nova on her webcam and follow her on Twitter at http://twitter.com/nataliaXnova

In a world becoming desensitized to porn, people often look for something “different” to excite them. Even 15 years ago, transsexual (TS) porn sites were considered a tiny niche market with little appeal to most adult webmasters and porn makers. Since then, the demand has skyrocketed and opened up a whole new world of content that has forced even the big players to add some kind of offering for “chicks with dicks” content. Interestingly, straight guys make up nearly the entire market for this new fetish.
Not surprisingly, the “tranny” webcam industry has also shown an exponential increase in demand, and is showing no signs of slowing down.
So, what’s the deal with transsexual webcam jobs? Can you really earn thousands per month as a transgendered webcam performer? Here’s an email I received from one of my subscribers:
“Hi Luke. Thanks for your message. What I need is to know is how do TV/crossdressers figure in the webcam models world and any related info. I have looked at a few sites and some state girl models only, others are specifically gay or bi males and the tv/ts sites seem to have ‘real’ girls in their pages. I don’t know which site is best for the likes of me? I wondered if you have any knowledge as to where I should start. Thanks in advance.”
Here’s my comments:
How Do TV/crossdressers figure in the webcam models world?
They do very well. A quick glance at the livejasmin home page shows the “Transgendered” category nearly as many performers as the “Boy” category! Clearly, an excellent job opportunity for any attractive “Tgirl” that’s not afraid to get on cam and show it off.
If you already read my Finding Your Niche post (I bet you didn’t know that the cam “girl” shown on that blog post is in fact a transgendered performer!), you’ll know that taboo and niche specific performers convert better, meaning more clients pay them for private shows. Most guys with a TS fetish will never pursue it beyond the “fantasy” level, which is why transgendered cam models do so well — live webcam sites provide the perfect fantasy in a safe environment for a price, and some guys are known to literally spend thousands of dollars on their favorite Tgirls!
I don’t know which site is best for the likes of me?
The best exclusive tranny webcam site is MyTrannyCams. That said, I do NOT recommend you sign up directly through MyTrannyCams.
MyTrannyCams is a partner site of LiveJasmin, meaning both sites are part of the same network. When a new performer signs up through a LiveJasmin Sponsor Link instead, they will be registered to both Livejasmin AND MyTrannyCams. This means you can register once and work for both sites at the same time! (Don’t worry, if you’re concerned about privacy, you can still block your area from viewing your profile and webcam. Just change it in your profile settings page.)
I wondered if you have any knowledge as to where I should start?
In order to maximize traffic and earnings, I strongly suggest you sign up through a sponsor link.
As an affiliate of the LiveJasmin network, I have arranged a special deal with LiveJasmin and MyTrannyCams. As a sponsored model, not only will you appear on the most visited live video chat site (LiveJasmin), but you will also appear on the largest transsexual site (MyTrannyCams).
Use this sponsor link:
http://becomewebcamperformer.com/ts-sponsor
The registration link above will still take you through the LiveJasmin registration page, only this way you will be registered to both LiveJasmin and MyTrannyCams, meaning more visitors, more potential clients, and better paydays.
Happy camming

I’m excited about today’s post. And you should be too. Cam girls pay attention because this webcam job is red hot!
I’ve been avoiding writing a full Sakuralive job review simply because I haven’t had all the details to give it a proper review. But after contacting several Sakuralive models and hearing about their positive experiences (and impressive paydays!), I knew that this site would help you make more money.
SakuraLive is HUGE. Most of you probably haven’t even heard of it even though it’s Asia’s largest live video chat network. Based out of Japan, the network consists of 3 different sites, SakuraLive, DXLive, and the brand new LiveAsianWebcams. When you sign up here, you will be registered on all three sites. The market is primarily a Japanese and Chinese clientele, but the demand in the American and European markets are growing FAST.
Here’s what you need to know: SakuraLive is an untapped Asian cam network seeking models of all ethnicities with Asian models given priority listings. (Sorry guys, this job’s for the ladies only.) You get 30% commission with members paying you $1.00-$4.99/minute. Here’s the good news: there’s NO FREE CHAT so you will NEVER waste time and emotional energy on Free Chatters and immature jerks. Only paying members here!
Now what’s really exciting is that they’ve only recently launched their new LiveAsianWebcams this month which is converting at an incredible 1:75 in the American market! Basically, this means that 1 in every 75 visitors to the site becomes a paying member. You might not think that 1 in 75 is a good conversion rate, but compare this to LiveJasmin which is currently converting at only 1:478 (as shown on the AWE member page). In other words, LiveAsianWebcams converts 637% better than LiveJasmin!
When you visit the home page, you’ll notice that many Asian webcam models will already be in “Show Started,” which shows just how much in demand the SakuraLive cam girls are. And unlike sites like Internet Modeling which literally takes weeks to sign up, SakuraLive will get the registration process started in minutes. (Read about it here at the cam model sign up page.)
The main problem I have with this site is that new models are left in the dark about commission details until AFTER they sign up. The only thing it says on their FAQ page is “30% commission” but it doesn’t give you the details of how much you actually get paid per minute. (LiveAsianWebcams and SakuraLive each have different member packages based on point systems with 1 point valued at $1 or $2 depending on which site members sign up.)
If you have a webcam and passport, you can make good money camming on Sakuralive. The feedback has been all positive so far but you need to get in ASAP. From experience, webcam jobs are one of those things where they’re either hot or not. It’s imperative to your success that you work for sites with LOW saturation and HIGH demand.
Overall, SakuraLive’s network of sites speak for themselves. Great customer service, high monthly payouts, and a completely untapped market that is converting like wildfire. My suggestion to you: sign up now while it’s still hot!

In Part 1 of Getting Motivated, I talked about two motivation strategies: TOWARDS and AWAY FROM. Assuming you read it, you should now have a good idea of which strategy tends to motivate you.
Now take a minute and think about what your motivation for webcam modeling is. Maybe you’re motivated TOWARDS paying off tuition or moving into a nicer apartment. Maybe you’re motivated AWAY FROM your demanding boss and tedious 9-5 job. Or maybe you just want some extra spending money to buy a new iPhone. Whatever the goal is, it’ll be easier to get motivated when you have something specific in mind.
Now think about what achieving this goal would really mean to you? Don’t rush it, spend a few minutes and really think about this. Sometimes one word will come to mind like “freedom” or “success.” Sometimes it will take the form of a phrase such as “I want to have a better life” or “I want to prove to myself I can do this.” The more vivid you can envision achieving this goal, the more compelled you’ll be towards taking action.
Getting motivated is a skill, and skills are learned. Below is my 3 step process for getting motivated and taking action.
Step 1 — Write Down Your Goal
A clearly defined and specific goal is much more compelling than a vague or general goal. For example, “Make $2000 by end of month” is better than “I want to make more money.” Once you have a clearly defined goal written down, post it somewhere you will see it every day, like next to your computer. Go ahead, do it now!
Step 2 — Schedule & Commit
Now that you have a clear goal in mind, you need to schedule time. For me, I decided to turn off the TV and spend that time online instead. A couple hours every day doesn’t sound like much, but over a few months, that’s close to 200 hours of work! (Just imagine how much you could achieve in one year working from home as a cam model by simply switching off the TV for a couple hours a day.) It can be helpful to get a monthly planner to schedule your online work. Better yet, just set your schedule on your online profile. This way your clients will know when they can chat with you online.
Step 3 — Take Massive Action
Most people think that you need to be motivated before you can take action. The truth is that it’s the other way around: When you take action, you become motivated. And as you start to see results, you become even more motivated. Taking action comes FIRST! Ask yourself “What steps do I have to do TODAY to get closer to this goal?” (you wrote it down, right?) Remember, every step forward gets you closer to your goal.
If you follow this 3 step process, you will get results. All successful people know that great success always starts with taking the first step. Getting motivated isn’t rocket science, and it’s something everyone can learn to do. Life is short. Make the best of it.
